Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Accountant to support accurate cost tracking, analysis, and reporting across operations. This role focuses on monitoring costs, analyzing variances, and supporting month-end accounting activities. The role will work closely with operations and finance leadership to help ensure financial accuracy and support informed business decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Track and analyze costs related to products, projects, or operations
- Maintain standard costs and support cost updates as needed
- Prepare cost variance analysis and explain fluctuations
- Support inventory accounting and reconciliation processes
- Assist with month-end close, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Partner with operations to ensure accurate cost allocation and reporting
- Support budgeting and forecasting related to costs
- Help improve cost accounting processes and reporting tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 3–5+ years of cost or general accounting experience
- Experience with cost accounting in a manufacturing, construction, or project-based environment
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
