Sr. Accountant - Assets

Position Title

Sr. Accountant - Fixed Assets Department

Under limited supervision, responsible for professional level accounting activities in support of OU Health.

• Maintains financial statements and records monthly operations for OU Health.
• Supervises the Data Control Operator.
• Sets up procedure codes and balances patient data.
• Gathers and reports operating statistics.
• Maintains database of assets.
• Prepares depreciation entries.
• Completes annual Medicare cost report work papers.
• Assists Finance leadership with other projects such as audits, research, and reconciliations.
• Assists with training and orienting new staff in the department.
• Assists with audits performed by outside firms.
• Coordinated with staff in other departments to complete related tasks and educate staff.

Performs other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 3–5 years of experience required.

Fixed Asset and Workday Knowledge.

• Knowledge of accounting practices, procedures, and regulations.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent computer skills, including spreadsheets, databases, and accounting software.
• Ability to discuss accounting issues with non‑finance personnel.
• Skill in prioritizing tasks and meeting critical deadlines.
• Team‑oriented work style.
• Experience supervising others.
