Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to support day-to-day payment operations for a long-term contract assignment on a remote basis for 12 weeks. This position is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in invoice handling, account coding, and disbursement processing who can maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. The role will focus on keeping payables organized, ensuring timely payments, and helping maintain reliable financial records.

Responsibilities:

• Review incoming invoices for completeness, accuracy, and proper supporting documentation before processing.
• Assign correct general ledger or expense codes to invoices and route items appropriately when needed.
• Enter and manage accounts payable transactions with close attention to deadlines and internal controls.
• Prepare and process ACH payments and check runs in accordance with established payment schedules.
• Reconcile payable records and resolve discrepancies by coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain organized documentation for invoices, payment activity, and related financial records.
• Assist with periodic reporting and provide support during audits or account reviews as requested.
