POSITION: Administrative Assistant
SALARY: $20.34 to $24.71, per hour DOE
REPORTS TO: School Principal
LOCATION: PSIS, Omak, WA
Basic Functions: This is a Non-Exempt position. The Admin Assistant provides comprehensive administrative support. This includes managing schedules, handling correspondence, organizing files, answering phones, preparing documents, and assisting with various office tasks to ensure smooth operations. Provide clerical and organizational support to the transportation department. Enter daily attendance in our attendance programs. Provide secretarial and organizational support to the school, school staff, and principal.
Assists with administrative projects and programs that impact and/or involve other organization units and locations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Training:
- Requires a high school diploma,
- Requires office-related experience, or relevant coursework relating to the secretarial field.
- Requires previous work in an administrative or secretarial role, preferably in an educational setting
- Requires obtaining a First Aid/CPR card within 30 days of hire.
- Requires passing Washington State, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Colville Tribal History Background Checks.
- Requires a valid Washington State Drivers License and to be eligible for Tribal Insurance.
- Requires Proof of Degree, Transcripts, and three letters of Reference provided along with application.
- Requires general knowledge of state and federal laws and procedures regarding education and tribal governance.
- Requires knowledge of basic software.
- Requires knowledge of Tribal enterprise and government, department operations, policies, procedures, and calendars.
- Requires knowledge of computer-based software programs that support this level of work, including but not limited to word processing, spreadsheet, basic presentation graphics, special applications used by the organization unit, and data entry onto custom databases.
- Requires sufficient math skills to perform financial and statistical record-keeping.
- Requires sufficient knowledge of proper English usage, grammar, spelling, and punctuation to prepare professional correspondence.
- Requires sufficient human relations skills to work productively and cooperatively with diverse teams, exercise patience when dealing with internal and external customers, and convey technical concepts.
- Ability to communicate effectively, use office software, and work under high demands in a timely matter.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive student and staff information.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Requires proficiency in using educational software and learning new systems quickly.
- Requires excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with students, parents, and visitors.
- Requires the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work to meet schedules and timelines.
