Position Summary

The Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and replacing automotive parts and systems while delivering excellent customer service. This role involves direct customer interaction and performing a wide range of repairs, including brakes, steering and suspension, drivability, emissions, electrical systems, HVAC, maintenance services, and major engine repairs. This position is designated as safety-sensitive
.

Duties & Responsibilities

Technicians diagnose and repair vehicles accurately while properly caring for and securing them during service. This role follows a “do it right the first time” philosophy, limiting comebacks to no more than two within a four-week period. Technicians are expected to maintain at least 90% productivity and 100% training completion
, comply with company policies and safety standards, maintain certifications, and serve as a technical resource for team members. Strong customer focus, integrity, and clear communication are essential. Other duties may be assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 months’ experience as a certified technician or mechanic
  • Four ASE certifications required
    :
    • Brakes
    • Steering & Suspension
    • Two additional ASEs (A1, A6, A7, A8, or L1)
  • Additional ASEs encouraged; ASE-equivalent certifications may be considered
  • Required ASEs must be completed within two testing cycles (testing fees prepaid)
  • Strong problem-solving, technical interpretation, and customer service skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Demands / Work Environment

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform frequent bending, reaching, and kneeling. Requires effective communication, computer use, reading small print, and safe vehicle operation. Reasonable accommodations may be made.
