Safety & Compliance Coordinator (HSEQ)

We are Trayd Australia, a WA owned company based in Malaga that has been delivering building maintenance, construction and trade solutions across Perth for almost 20 years.

Overview

As a multi‑trade business, we need a motivated and proactive Safety & Compliance Coordinator to strengthen systems and embed a "Be Safe" culture across our work. The role balances office coordination with field engagement and is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Visit job sites and support safe work practices across Perth
  • Coordinate new employee safety inductions and onboarding
  • Organise training, licences and workforce competency records
  • Deliver Toolbox Talks and facilitate team training on HSEQ processes
  • Maintain safety systems, registers and documentation, including document control
  • Support and monitor contractor compliance, onboarding, inductions and required documentation
  • Prepare reports, analyse performance data and monitor HSEQ objectives
  • Support internal and external audits, investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent) desirable
  • Five or more years experience in workplace safety, HSEQ, compliance or coordination, preferably within building and construction
  • Working knowledge of WA work health and safety legislation
  • Experience conducting site inspections and supporting operational teams
  • Confidence delivering inductions, Toolbox Talks or safety training
  • Strong administration, reporting and document‑control capability
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Competence using Microsoft Office and digital business systems
  • A current Australian driver’s licence
  • Experience in construction, building maintenance, trades or a similar field‑based environment is advantageous
Part‑Time Role with Variety

Permanent part‑time position offering 30 hours per week, worked flexibly across either four or five days. Options include four days with longer hours or five shorter days. Arrangements are flexible to support both your lifestyle and the business needs.
