Job Summary

The Tool and Equipment Associate is responsible for inspection and testing of tools and equipment that are rented to customers. This position ensures that tools being sent to projects are complete, in good working order, and safe to use.

SALARY RANGE: $25 - $30 hourly, $52,000 - 62,400 annually (Seattle region)

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location.

Job Responsibilities

  • Inspect, test, and clean battery, gas, and 110-volt powered tools as necessary.
  • Inspect, test, and make minor repairs on 240-volt temporary power and lighting components.
  • Ensure that tools and equipment meet all manufacturer specifications and operational requirements.
  • Responsible for green tagging items that pass inspection, as well as red tagging items that pose safety concerns.
  • Identify items that are covered by a manufacturer warranty and coordinating the covered repairs.
  • Return equipment to the proper bin location (i.e. warranty, damaged, rent ready, etc.).
  • Responsible of keeping work area safe, highly organized, and efficient at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • High level of mechanical aptitude.
  • Previous experience inspecting tools and equipment in a fast-paced environment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of electrical safety best practices.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Ability to read and respond to emailed inquiries from customers and/or employees.
  • Safety-oriented.
  • Must hold a valid and current driver's license, maintained in good standing throughout the duration of employment.
