Construction Superintendent Midnight Sun is seeking a Construction Superintendent to support federal construction at Joint Base Lewis-McChord in Tacoma, Washington. Reporting to the Project Manager, the Superintendent is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising daily field operations from mobilization through project closeout. This position ensures work is completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with contract requirements and quality standards.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily construction activities.
- Lead and coordinate employees, subcontractors, vendors, and material deliveries to maintain project schedule and productivity.
- Develop and maintain the schedule in coordination with the Project Manager and Quality Control Manager.
- Monitor project progress, identify schedule impacts, and implement corrective actions to maintain production.
- Conduct daily site inspections to ensure compliance with contract documents, project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Coordinate Preparatory, Initial, and Follow-Up inspections and required testing activities.
- Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and RFIs to ensure work is performed in accordance with project requirements.
- Identify and resolve field issues while coordinating with the Project Manager, Quality Control Manager, design team, and subcontractors.
- Maintain daily reports documenting manpower, equipment, production, weather, inspections, and project activities.
- Coordinate site logistics, equipment, material deliveries, and work sequencing to support efficient project execution.
- Enforce compliance with OSHA, EM 385-1-1, environmental requirements, and company safety policies.
- Participate in preconstruction planning, constructability reviews, progress meetings, and project closeout activities.
- Maintain an active onsite presence while construction activities are underway.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
