Event Manager / Planner, Customer Service Rep
Avennia Estate on Red Mountain is more than a tasting room. It is a place where thoughtful wines, stunning vineyards, and genuine human connection come together. We are seeking an Assistant Tasting Room Manager who wants to help lead a warm, professional team and build lasting relationships with guests who feel truly welcomed the moment they arrive.
This role will report to the Estate Manager and together the team will manage all tasting room operations, drive marketing efforts, and encourage club sign-ups through a personalized guest experience. The position typically consists of 4 shifts per week, including weekends.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership to associate staff to foster a productive, efficient, and positive work environment. Model the behavior expected from staff.
- Execute opening and closing procedures on days worked:
- Opening: verify all supplies and wines are available prior to opening, check appointments, voicemail and any notes for the day.
- Closing: sample out wines, finalize reports, secure premises.
- During open hours:
- Process and monitor daily orders and oversee all point of sale (POS) data. Capture and document all pertinent customer data in the customer record.
- For club members – verify credit cards, track club requests, keep customer notes that can assist in later outreach and marketing.
- Follow food safety guidelines and maintain a clean environment.
- Ensure Avennia policies are understood and followed by all staff.
- Make decisions when issues arise and handle them in a respectful, consistent manner.
- Collaborate with DTC managers to improve operations, training, and customer service with the goal of improving average order value, club conversion and retention rates, and customer data capture.
- Facilitate Vineyard Tour and Tasting experience:
- After completion of the vineyard tour training course, lead reserved estate vineyard tours.
- Manage all tasting room inventory movement, including standard inventory, club pickups, and pre-purchased quantities:
- Update inventory monthly in Dropbox.
- Monitor low inventory SKUs and past‑due pick‑ups, and report to team.
- Communicate stocking needs to the Estate Manager for inventory transfers from Woodinville.
- Provide ongoing training for existing staff when needed.
- Convey important information, feedback, sales details, and exceptions made to the Estate Manager.
- Perform weekly deep‑clean tasks: bathroom, sweep/mop floors; dust wine bottles and wash doors and windows as needed.
- Additional responsibilities as needed – private tastings, off‑site events, call campaigns, etc.
- $19 - $20/hr DOE
