Schedule:
20 hours per week; 5‑hour shifts:
Tuesday‑Friday 12:45 pm‑5:45 pm;
Saturday 7:30 am‑12:30 pm (based on clinic needs)
Dental Assistant II – Chairside Dental Assistant. Responsible for patient preparation, chairside support to dental providers, sterilization, and clinic flow. Provides a daily difference in patients' lives and is part of a caring, respectful, diverse community.
Responsibilities- Greet and prepare patients for exams, including identifying chief complaint and taking vitals.
- Access and update patient information in the Electronic Dental Record (EDR) and Electronic Practice Management (EPM) system.
- Provide chairside assistance during exams and procedures such as prophylaxis, root canals, restorative work, crowns and bridges.
- Perform digital imaging, prophylaxis, sealants, and record medication refills.
- Educate patients on medication use, home care, and general health information.
- Sterilize used equipment and instruments, following OSHA and WISHA guidelines.
- Prepare and stock operatories at the start and throughout each day.
- Act as a liaison between receptionists and providers to ensure timely clinic flow.
- Maintain confidentiality of all patient medical/dental records and personal information.
- Certificate from an accredited Dental Assistant program or comparable experience of at least 3 months of Dental Assistant training.
- Maintain current registration/licensure with the State of Washington.
- Basic computer knowledge; proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems such as Epic.

FERON Gold titers is required. Additional requirements include Tdap within the last 10 years and Hepatitis B for clinical employees.
