We are looking for a Dental Assistant Mentor to serve as our on-site clinical expert, staff coach, and operational champion. Your Mission:
Empower, Train, and Excel
In this dynamic, dual-impact role, you will split your energy between high-level patient care and empowering our clinical staff.
* Staff Mentorship &
Coaching:
Actively mentor and coach orthodontic assistants on their daily performance, providing constructive feedback to help them succeed and grow in their careers.
* Training & Onboarding:
Lead the orientation process for new orthodontic assistants and manage ongoing training initiatives.
* Competency Tracking:
Develop, implement, and track clinical competency assessments to ensure all clinical staff maintain top-tier technical skills.
* Clinical Subject Matter Expert:
Serve as the absolute go-to resource on-site for all advanced orthodontic assisting procedures, troubleshooting, and clinical compliance.
* Operational Leadership:
Partner closely with the Clinic Supervisor, Trainer, and Director of Dental Operations to monitor session metrics and optimize clinic flow, ensuring target provider visits per session are consistently met.
What We Are Looking For
* Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on dental assisting experience is required.
* Certifications:
Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) preferred; active X-ray and CPR certifications required.
* Leadership
Skills:
Proven experience in a lead, supervisory, or trainer role within a dental/orthodontic practice. You must be an excellent communicator who lifts others up.
* Operational Mindset: A strong understanding of clinic flow, scheduling efficiencies, and what it takes to hit patient-volume targets without sacrificing quality of care.
* Technical Mastery:
Complete mastery of orthodontic chairside duties, digital scanning, diagnostics, and lab work.
