Dental Hygienist
Salary: $57.22 - $63.88/hour (Based on experience per our Dental Compensation Plan)
Job Summary:
The Dental Hygienist will be able to perform all dental related care and procedures allowable under WAC regulations and guidelines. The primary job function is to be responsible for managing dental hygiene and treatment of periodontal disease of patients under direction of staff dentists.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for assessing and obtaining clinical evidence of patient's level of periodontal health, including all relevant and required chart documentation.
- Responsible for exposure and developing appropriate diagnostic radiographs.
- Provides appropriate treatment of existing oral diseases as diagnosed by the dentist.
- Provides treatment of acute and chronic periodontal, gingival, and oral conditions, in conjunction with dentist.
- Maintains dental hygiene treatment rooms in clean and orderly condition, stocked with appropriate treatment instruments and materials in conjunction with dental assistants.
- Record treatment in daily record, chart periodontal probing, and update hygiene tracking sheets as necessary in dental records.
- Delivers appropriate local and inhalation anesthesia for patient comfort under supervision of dentist.
- Performs expanded function duties, (placing and adjusting filling, temporary fillings, impressions, temporary crown cementation, facilitating teledentistry etc. as stipulated under WAC regulations/guidelines) as necessary under supervision of dentist.

- Start shift on time and meet attendance standards per the FTE assigned in HRIS system.

Qualifications:
- Education:
Must be a graduate of an accredited dental hygiene school. Must be a board-certified hygienist. - Certification/Licensure:
Must possess current, valid unrestricted license to practice dental hygiene in the State of Washington. Basic Life Support (BLS) required. - Experience:
One or more years of experience as a dental hygienist preferred, especially in a community or public health setting. - Language
Skills:
English and Spanish fluency preferred. English fluency required.
