Dental Technician, Dental Assistant
The Clinical Support Technician plays a vital role in supporting the clinical team by maintaining efficient workflows behind the scenes. This position is responsible for digital case management, sterilization, inventory, and clinical organization, allowing our orthodontic assistants to remain focused on delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys working as part of a fast-paced team.
- Upload and organize digital patient records, scans, and photographs.
- Complete DIBS case setup and ensure digital records are accurate and ready for review.
- Upload Invisalign scans and monitor lab submissions for accuracy and completion.
- Track pending laboratory cases and communicate with the clinical team regarding outstanding items.
- Maintain instrument sterilization throughout the day following OSHA and infection control standards.
- Prepare and organize clinical instruments and supplies between patients.
- Monitor inventory levels and restock treatment areas throughout the day.
- Clean, organize, and maintain orthodontic brackets, clinical supplies, and lab materials.
- Assist with laboratory tasks, including model pours and other basic lab procedures.
- Help obtain patient photographs during deband appointments as needed.
- Support the clinical team during busy times by assisting with non-chairside tasks that improve patient flow.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional clinical environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of the practice.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Dental or orthodontic experience preferred, but not required.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Comfortable learning new technology and digital workflows.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and help wherever needed.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Manual dexterity to safely handle instruments and equipment.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
