Dental Assistant , II, or III

Full‑time Dental Assistant position available for our White Center Dental Clinic. Candidate will assist the dental provider in the delivery of dental procedures allowed by the WA State Dental Practice Act, including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, orthodontics, and oral surgery procedures. Major duties include maintaining proper records for material safety data sheets (MSDS), spore test, inventory of dental supplies, training new Dental Assistants, and organizing schedules to generate check lists for maintenance of dental procedures.

• Valid WA State license and basic life support (BLS) certification.
• Organizational skills, dental record experience and computer familiarity.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate, read, and write in English.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
• Preferred previous orthodontic experience.

Dental Assistant II
:
Must have completed a formal Dental Assistant program at a College, Technical Institute or equivalent. Minimum of 6 months work experience required. Candidates with no formal training must have minimum 18 months of experience in a Dental Assistant position.

Dental Assistant III
:
Must be knowledgeable of proper sterilization methods, OSHA regulations, and QI. Capable of duplicating and mounting radiographs, placing temporary restorations, taking impressions, pouring and trimming models, placing retraction cords, placing matrix bands, performing coronal polishing, and giving fluoride treatments. Two years of working experience required. Candidates with no formal training must have minimum 3 years of experience in a Dental Assistant position.
