Senior Accountant

Location: Remote (U.S.)

Pay Rate: $44–$46/hr

Estimated FTE Salary Upon Conversion: ~$92,000–$95,000+

Our team is supporting a mission-driven organization seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with strong Accounts Receivable, month-end close, and revenue accounting experience. This position plays a key role in managing complex donor-related revenue processes and supporting cross-functional integrations.

• Prepare journal entries, support schedules, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain month-end close calendar and ensure timely completion.
• Manage GL activity including accruals, deferrals, prepaid amortization, and valuation estimates.

• Process donor gifts and complex giving vehicles (stock gifts, matching gifts, in-kind donations, bequests, donor-advised funds).
• Manage online giving and payment gateway platforms.
• Collaborate with internal teams to verify donor terms and resolve inquiries.

• Ensure accurate data flow between Net Suite (accounting) and Salesforce (CRM).
• Partner with cross-functional teams on system enhancements and revenue cycle integrations.
• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for relevant implementations.

• Perform monthly A/R and bank reconciliations.
• Assist with annual audit PBC preparation and provide supporting documentation and explanations.

• Contribute to process improvements and special projects that support professional growth.

• 5–8+ years of accounting experience (A/R, month-end close, reconciliations).
• Strong Net Suite AND Salesforce experience required (non-negotiable).
• Experience in nonprofit or foundation accounting highly preferred

• Background in donor revenue, fund accounting, or gift processing preferred.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
