Property Accountant Needed - $85K-$120K - Growing Non‑Profit
We are a growing non‑profit based in Washington, DC looking for a Property Accountant.
Responsibilities- Manage multiple accounting projects with competing deadlines.
- Coordinate audit activities and manage reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and accounting for investments.
- Provide financial and accounting support for real estate, multi‑family development, property management, affordable housing, and LIHTC portfolios.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
- CPA or CMA license.
- 4+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance with a strong preference for specialized experience in real estate, multi‑family development, property management, affordable housing, and LIHTC.
- Excellent organizational, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills.
- Proficiency with accounting software and all MS Office, including advanced Excel capabilities.
- Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost‑control principles, and GAAP.
- Solid experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and accounting for investments.
- $80,000‑$90,000 base salary + bonus.
- Hybrid work schedule (2 days remote / 3 days on site during off‑season).
