Senior Accountant (6-Month Contract)

Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid – 2 remote days/week)

Reports to: Senior Accounting Manager

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a 6-month contract to support core accounting functions and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in month-end processes, intercompany reconciliations, and financial statement preparation, preferably within a multinational or construction-related environment.

• Execute month-end close procedures including accruals, payroll, depreciation, currency revaluation, and equity movements.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation to resolve discrepancies.
• Oversee accounts payable and payment processing performed by junior accounting staff.
• Analyze and interpret financial data to support internal stakeholders across departments.
• Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements and coordinate with external auditors.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar accounting role, preferably within a multinational or construction-focused organization.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP; IFRS knowledge is a plus.
• Advanced user of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• 6-month contract with potential for extension
