Managing Consultant - Government Contracts & Accounting

Overview

BRG’s Government Contract practice professionals apply extensive experience and competence to assist organizations in adapting to and complying with requirements following successful contract awards. The multidisciplinary team focuses on cost accounting, pricing, audits, damages, forensic accounting, and investigations. Professionals include CPAs, CMAs, Certified Fraud Examiners, and industry leaders.

• Model financial and cost accounting data.
• Perform compliance assessments and gap analyses.
• Design and conduct financial and statistical analyses.
• Analyze and develop government contract claims.
• Conduct quality control and develop client deliverables.
• Perform industry research.
• Work directly with clients to analyze financial, cost, pricing, and compliance challenges.
• Assist contractors with accounting, contract administration, and strategic business questions.
• Develop customized solutions to enhance operational effectiveness and profitability.
• Maintain electronic databases and spreadsheets.
• Use analytical software and computer models to develop solutions.
• Audit own work products and those of others to assure quality.
• Participate in a team environment, meet client deadlines and expectations.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Participate in group practice meetings and travel as needed.

• Minimum five years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting and finance.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CFE, CGMA, etc. are desirable.
• Two to four years of prior work experience in professional or litigation services.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and exposure to other analytical software (e.g., MS Access, MS SQL Server).
• A desire to expand capabilities with additional applications such as legal document management software.

Salary range: $120,000 – $165,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience. Job title and compensation will be determined accordingly.
