Senior Accountant

Cherry Bekaert Recruiting is seeking a detail-oriented Senior
Accountant
. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations and play a key role in the
month-end close process
, financial accuracy, and audit readiness. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation, with experience in nonprofit environments considered a plus.
Key Responsibilities

• Support the
  month-end and year-end close process
• Prepare and post
  journal entries
  and maintain general ledger accuracy
• Process
  accounts payable
  , including invoice coding and approvals
• Manage
  vendor relationships
  and maintain accurate vendor records
• Assist with
  expense coding and classification
• Provide support during
  internal and external audits
• Help ensure compliance with
  accounting policies and procedures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain accurate financial reporting

• Bachelor’s degree in
  Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Experience with
  Quick Books
  a plus
• Nonprofit accounting experience
  (preferred)
• Experience with
  Anybill
  (a plus)
• Strong understanding of
  basic accounting principles and GAAP
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
