Sr. Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support the finance team on a long-term contract basis. This interim opportunity is ideal for someone who can step in quickly, manage core accounting activities, and maintain accurate financial records during a leave coverage period. The role requires strong Sage Intacct expertise and a hands-on approach to month-end processes, reconciliations, and audit readiness.

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily and monthly accounting activities, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately in the general ledger.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items in a timely manner.
• Process and monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable to support accurate cash flow and vendor/customer records.
• Prepare accruals and journal entries as part of the month-end close process and maintain supporting documentation.
• Allocate grant-related financial activity in accordance with applicable guidelines and internal reporting needs.
• Assist with audit preparation by organizing schedules, reconciliations, and requested financial documentation.
• Utilize Sage Intacct to maintain accounting records, generate reports, and support efficient financial operations.
