We are seeking experienced Project Manager/Partners to lead and manage complex federal financial statement audit engagements. The selected candidates will be responsible for project planning, execution, management, client coordination, technical guidance, quality control, and ensuring engagement activities are completed within established schedules and applicable requirements.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, execute, and manage large federal financial statement audit engagements, examinations, and evaluations.
- Develop and implement project plans, monitor milestones, and ensure project tasks are completed within established time frames and budget constraints.
- Manage the client interface with project personnel and serve as a primary point of contact for engagement activities.
- Provide technical guidance and direction to project team members in performing audit work.
- Supervise engagement teams and coordinate resources to ensure successful completion of project objectives.
- Review the quality of audit work papers, analyses, findings, recommendations, and other engagement deliverables.
- Ensure audit activities are performed in accordance with GAGAS, GAAS, federal accounting standards, and applicable federal financial management requirements.
- Monitor engagement progress, identify risks and issues, and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Support preparation and review of audit findings, reports, management letters, and other engagement deliverables.
- Maintain effective communication with client leadership and engagement team members regarding project status, risks, and deliverables.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Business Administration.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA). The Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation may be substituted for the CPA designation only in the case of Performance audits.
- Minimum of 10 years of management experience supervising large federal financial statement audits, examinations, and evaluations.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex federal audit engagements and supervising large engagement teams.
- Strong knowledge of federal auditing standards, financial management requirements, and applicable accounting principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage client relationships, engagement teams, schedules, budgets, and multiple project priorities.
- Must possess a "Q" clearance.
