The Accountant is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role will assist with month-end close, account reconciliations, financial reporting, journal entries, and compliance with company policies and GAAP. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Prepare and post journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and year-end close.
- Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and general ledger accounts.
- Maintain and analyze general ledger activity to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and reconciling items.
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions as needed.
- Assist with internal and external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
- Monitor and maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency within the accounting function.
- Perform special projects and ad hoc reporting as assigned.

- 2-5 years of accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables and formulas.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
