We are currently working with several clients in various industries that are looking for a Staff Accountant to join their team. These companies are based in the Washington, DC Metro area and many of the roles are on a hybrid basis and open to candidates coming out of public accounting as well. The ideal candidate for the Staff Accountant role would be responsible for preparing the financial statements, maintaining the general ledger accounts, reconciling bank statements, assisting with the month end close process, posting journal entries and assisting with other projects.

Daily responsibilities of the Staff Accountant include:
- Perform month-end close.
- General ledger maintenance.
- Reconcile bank statements.
- Prepare financial statements.
- Post various journal entries.
