Vendor Maintenance Support – Washington, DC
We are seeking a full-time Vendor Maintenance Support professional to support a government client’s financial operations team in Washington, DC. This is a short-term contract expected to run for approximately 4.5 months
.
This is a hands-on, transaction-focused position responsible for vendor data entry and maintenance within People Soft
, reviewing vendor documentation, updating records, supporting payment processing, and responding to vendor inquiries. The ideal candidate will be comfortable processing a high volume of vendor records and documentation while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain and update vendor and customer profiles within People Soft.
- Process vendor additions, modifications, and other vendor maintenance requests.
- Collect, review, and maintain W-9 and vendor certification documentation.
- Validate vendor banking, tax identification, and other required information.
- Assist with vendor information needed for IRS Form 1099 reporting.
- Work with Accounting staff to support timely vendor payments.
- Review vendor records for completeness, duplicates, and data accuracy.
- Perform database cleanup and maintain accurate vendor information.
- Respond to vendor questions and follow up regarding required documentation.
- Assist with maintaining standard operating procedures related to vendor maintenance.
- Process a high volume of calls, data entry, and documentation while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with People Soft, specifically Vendor and Accounts Payable modules.
- Minimum 3 years of Microsoft Office Suite experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a high-volume customer service environment.
- High school diploma or higher.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, confidential team environment.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
- U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
- Ability to work fully onsite in Washington, DC
, Monday through Friday, generally 8:30 AM–5:30 PM
.
