A well-established professional organization is seeking a detail-oriented
Accountant to support its accounting team during a period of increased activity. This role offers hands-on exposure to accounts receivable, cash management, month-end close activities, and general accounting operations within a collaborative environment.

The ideal candidate is self-sufficient, takes initiative when problem-solving, and thrives in a fast-paced accounting department.

• Process cash receipts, lockbox transactions, and accounts receivable activity
• Perform daily cash and bank reconciliations
• Assist with cash management reporting and account analysis
• Review and maintain accounts receivable records, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies
• Support month-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries
• Assist with customer account research and collection efforts
• Partner with internal departments to resolve accounting and payment-related inquiries
• Investigate and troubleshoot accounting system issues as needed
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation

• 1+ years of accounting or accounts receivable experience
• Experience processing lockboxes, cash applications, cash receipts, and reconciliations
• Experience assisting with journal entries and month-end close
• Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work independently and think through solutions before escalating issues
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Adaptive Planning (Adaptive Insights) experience is required
• Experience working within ERP/accounting systems

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience with financial reporting and cash management
• Prior experience supporting high-volume transaction environments
