Our client, a well-established organization in the retail industry, is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Reconciliation Analyst to join their team on a long-term contract basis. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume environment, enjoys digging into complex account issues, and has a strong investigative and analytical mindset.

• Analyze, reconcile, and resolve complex accounts receivable discrepancies.
• Review large-volume retail customer accounts, including accounts with thousands of transaction line items.
• Investigate aging balances, payment issues, deductions, and account variances.
• Identify data inconsistencies, missing information, and reconciliation gaps.
• Clean up historical account issues and ensure accurate account balances.
• Partner with internal teams to research and resolve outstanding account concerns.
• Prepare reconciliation reports and support month-end close activities.
• Utilize advanced Excel functions to organize, analyze, and validate large datasets.

• Strong experience in Accounts Receivable and account reconciliation.
• Previous experience supporting retail customer accounts.
• Experience with SAP, or other large ERP systems
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Proven ability to work through high-volume, complex account cleanup projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to independently research issues and determine root causes.
• Experience handling large datasets and transactional volumes.

• NACM certification or related credit and collections experience is highly preferred.
• Experience working in fast-paced accounting or finance environments with minimal supervision.

The ideal candidate is someone who can hit the ground running with little training. They are naturally curious, highly analytical, and enjoy investigating account discrepancies to uncover and resolve underlying issues. Success in this role requires patience, persistence, and the ability to manage complex retail accounts with significant transaction volume.
