Overview
The National Air Traffic Controllers Association ("NATCA") has an immediate opening for a Training and Events Administrator in its Washington, D.C. headquarters office.
Responsibilities- Set up online training registration; confirm attendee participation approval; coordinate attendee reports; and track data.
- Coordinate logistics for trainings.
- Attend trainings to support instructors and trainees, as needed; print training materials; and order handbooks and other supplies.
- Provide member service regarding all details of the training process, including timely responses to attendee questions through emails and phone calls; assist members with training registration; review travel plans and vouchers to ensure compliance with NATCA policies; respond to questions regarding vouchers, expenses, and invoices.
- Manage shipments for events and organize and keep accurate inventory of all storage units.
- Assist in the on-site logistics of NATCA events.
- Coordinate and fulfill NATCA shipments for community outreach.
- Update project management tools and take accurate notes for committee meetings.
- Assist the events team with projects such as restaurant and other venue reservations, sponsorship contracts, and fulfillment of swag and merchandise.
- Applicants must have an associate’s degree or higher (or relevant work experience) and at least two years of previous work experience in training/event planning and administration.
- Knowledge of office administrative procedures and standard office equipment, including computer software such as word processing, spreadsheets, database management, email services (e.g., Constant Contact), and presentation applications; ability to perform multiple tasks effectively and under tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision; excellent interpersonal skills; strong attention to detail, particularly in typing and proofreading materials and establishing priorities.
