Job Description:
Summary:
The Administrator will assist the Director in the administration of the American Economic Association Summer Training Program. The Administrator will help manage applications, communicate with applicants, program participants, experiential learning partners, and faculty, organize events, and process program expenditures. The administrator will also help produce marketing materials for the program. The student must be a current AU PHD Graduate Student to be eligible for this position.
Essential Functions:
* Communicate with applicants, program participants, experiential learning partners, and faculty.
* Serve as a primary point of contact; draft and send program communications; respond to inquiries; and ensure timely and professional information flow across all stakeholders.
* Manage the AEA Summer Training Program application process.
* Oversee application intake and support the Director in application review and selection processes.
* Coordinate and support program events.
* Assist in the planning, scheduling, and logistics for workshops, seminars, orientation sessions, and other program-related events.
* Process and track program expenditures.
* Manage reimbursements, vendor payments, budget tracking, and financial documentation for the program.
* Assist in the development of marketing and promotional materials.
* Draft, edit, and help produce digital and print materials to promote the program and support outreach efforts.
* Provide administrative support to the Director and program operations.
* Complete routine administrative tasks, maintain records, and ensure smooth day‑to‑day program operations.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
* Part-time.
* 20 hours per week.
Salary Range:
* $22.50 per hour.

* Must be a current AU PHD graduate student.
