About the Job

The Office Administration Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of our busy Cardiac Surgery practice at Med Star Washington Hospital Center. This position ensures smooth administrative workflows, exceptional patient service, and strong coordination between providers, staff, and internal departments.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced ambulatory medical environment while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

* Manages the full administrative operations of the office, including scheduling, records and database maintenance, reporting, billing coordination, supply management, and vendor/internal department liaison activities

* Serves as the primary point of contact for patients, providers, and internal/external partners; resolves day-to-day operational issues, coordinates deadlines, and ensures timely, professional communication

* Supports departmental leadership through meeting coordination, special projects, personnel-related administrative activities, onboarding and training support, credentialing assistance, and regulatory compliance

* Maintains accurate financial, statistical, and operational data; prepares reports related to departmental charges, expenses, budgets, and performance metrics

* Ensures confidentiality, data integrity, and compliance with all hospital policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements while participating in quality improvement initiatives

Minimal

Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or GED required

* Associate's degree in secretarial studies, business, accounting, or related field preferred

* Progressive administrative experience required

* Experience in a medical office or ambulatory healthcare setting preferred

This position has a hiring range of

USD $49,192.00 - USD $87,422.00 /Yr.
