Claim Review Team Support Staff Position Description
Overview:
The role supports claim review production reporting, data entry, and report preparation for Supervisors. Works with SharePoint and other tracking systems, assists with queue management, meetings, training, and materials, and tracks progress on special projects. This position may involve additional duties as assigned.
- Assists in claim review production reports. Enters data into spreadsheets, PowerPoint, Word, etc., following established guidelines; provides information in a concise, usable format.
- Identifies differences over time in production data sets and highlights trends; submits reports to Supervisory Attorney Advisors (Supervisors).
- Assists Supervisors with data entry projects and with data entry into SharePoint or other tracking systems as needed.
- Cross-checks data to ensure report information is accurate; generates pipeline claims reports to help identify gaps and outliers.
- Aggregates reports from other teams and prepares reports for Supervisors as needed.
- Assists with claim assignments and queue management of claim reviewer queues; supports team-wide calendaring of meetings, training, and discussions.
- Assists with preparation of materials including meetings, presentations, notes, and posting to SharePoint or other collaboration sites.
- Tracks progress of special projects or assignments and provides report updates to Supervisors; completes other special projects as assigned.
- Requires paralegal certificate, or JD, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school with at least one year of study, or equivalent legal training or experience; at least two years of litigation paralegal or project experience required; trial experience helpful.
- At least one year of experience in automated litigation support.
- Sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures and resources.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and knowledge of legal research tools (LEXIS and Westlaw).
- Hands-on familiarity with word processing, databases, spreadsheets, imaging, and hardware systems; familiarity with ESI tools and eDiscovery procedures.
- Able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance; ability to work independently and in a team; high attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, One Note).
- Must be able to obtain and maintain MRPT facility credentials/authorization (US Citizenship required for MRPT facilities).
- Employees will earn health and welfare (H&W) dollars per eligible hour; H&W monies offset the employer's cost of benefits and may be cashed out with a lag per policy.
This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position under the SCA. In addition to base pay, you may be eligible for an additional health and welfare payment per hour, depending on selected fringe benefits. The amount varies.
