Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is $25.00 per hour.

Position Description

Residential Concierge serves as the first point of contact for residents, visitors, and staff at Roberts Residences. This part‑time, front‑desk role is essential to fostering a welcoming and safe environment while supporting daily operations.

Requirements

Required: High school diploma or GED. Additional coursework or certification in customer service, administrative support, or hospitality is a plus.

Preferred: Prior experience in a receptionist, front desk, or customer‑service role.

Schedule

Monday–Thursday, 8:00 am – 2:00 pm;
Friday, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm with 30‑minute working lunch. (29 hours per week)

Expected Contributions
  • Assist with administrative duties, including data entry, filing, incident reporting, visitor logs, and supply inventory.
  • Receive, log, and distribute mail and packages for residents and staff in a timely and secure manner.
  • Manage incoming phone calls, take messages, and route calls or information to the appropriate staff members.
  • Offer general information about the housing program and available community resources as needed.
  • Ensure proper sign‑in and sign‑out procedures for all visitors; maintain security and awareness of who is in the building.
  • Greet and assist residents, guests, and staff in a professional, courteous, and welcoming manner at all times.
  • Keep the reception area organized, clean, and inviting to reflect the professionalism of the residence.
  • Promote a welcoming and respectful environment that aligns with the mission and values of the organization.
  • Notify appropriate staff of any building maintenance issues, safety concerns, or suspicious activity.
  • Respond appropriately in case of emergencies and follow established procedures to ensure resident and building safety.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Welcome and assist residents, guests, and staff with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Answer incoming calls, relay messages, and direct calls to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and manage building access; ensure all visitors follow sign‑in/sign‑out protocols.
  • Provide accurate information about the housing program, services, and available community resources.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting front desk and lobby area.
  • Promptly report any maintenance concerns, safety issues, or unusual activity to the appropriate staff.
  • Receive, log, and distribute incoming mail and packages to residents and staff.
  • Assist with general administrative duties, including filing, incident logging, and basic data entry tasks.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a professional and welcoming demeanor.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to interact respectfully with residents, visitors, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and uphold professional boundaries.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
