A private foundation in Washington, D.C. is seeking an eager and enthusiastic administrative professional to provide high-end executive support to its founding Principal with a white-glove touch. As the Executive Assistant, you will be responsible for managing calendars, travel, drafting correspondence, assisting with projects, and operating as a key gatekeeper for the principal. This Principal is bi-coastal and seeks an adaptable spirit, able to assist with light personal assistant duties.

- Manage the Principal’s calendar, appointments, and travel logistics, including coordinating activities across time zones.
- Serve as a liaison with other staff and external contacts, screening incoming requests, addressing inquiries, assessing priority, and directing to the appropriate contact.
- Draft and review correspondence, documents, meeting notes, and other written materials with impeccable attention to tone, clarity, and professionalism. Ensure that all files are organized and easily accessible.
- Maintain organization of files, documents, and household/foundation information, providing a single point of coordination across locations.
- Track and manage items, schedules, and logistics in alignment with the Principal’s standards and expectations.
- Prepare and submit expense reports.
- Collaborate with household, corporate, and external contacts while maintaining a calm, professional presence and strong interpersonal relationships.
- Assist with projects, errands, and personal assistant tasks as needed, ensuring seamless execution of priorities.

- This opportunity is fully onsite in the Washington, D.C. office, which is accessible via public transportation. The office is pet-friendly, so comfortability around animals is essential!
- Flexibility to travel with the Principal to a secondary office location for the duration of a month over the summer is required.
- Administrative experience. You have at least four (4) years of prior experience providing administrative support to a principal(s). Candidates who have a bachelor’s degree will stand out!
- Thorough and thoughtful. You have exceptional organizational and time management skills, often taking a proactive approach to work, anticipating needs with ease.
- Writing wiz. You have a knack for writing and demonstrate professionalism through all communication.
- Team oriented and solution oriented. You thrive as a member of a team in a fast-paced environment, and are resourceful, independently working to address conflicts as they arise.
- Systems skilled. You are proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite and can easily learn new software/technology as needed.
- Emotional intelligence. You are comfortable navigating high expectations, working with diverse stakeholders, and balancing firmness with tact.
