Leidos is seeking a General Clerk to work in support of the Civil Rights Division in Washington, DC. The General Clerk needs to demonstrate extensive administrative assistant experience to support the Civil Rights Division of DOJ. This is a high visibility support role providing support services to attorneys.
TypicalResponsibilities include:
- Works under the supervision of a Lead Project Manager.
- Types, edits, corrects, etc. documents, charts, tables.
- Performs a detailed review and analysis of case files.
- Generates a detailed index of case related files.
- Screens documents for privilege.
- Conducts database searches in Relativity.
- Downloads or uploads files to a drop box.
- Creates witness binders
- Prepares deposition and trial exhibits
- Generates mail merges
- Performs scanning as needed.
- At least two years of word processing experience, including one year in the specific office automation environment required (e.g. MS Word Office).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software programs (i.e. Word, and Excel).
- Must be able to perform database searches
- Must be able upload / download files from a dropbox,
- Demonstrated ability to generate trial / exhibit binders.
- Demonstrated ability to work with attorneys.
- Hands on experience with data entry.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
- Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.
Qualifications:
- Prior government experience helpful.
- Current or active Public Trust
This position is covered under the Service Contract Act and is subject to minimum requirements. Leidos ensures that all provisions are satisfied. The pay for this position will be $21.29/hr.
