Overview
The Brattle Group is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team in Boston, MA;
New York, NY; or Washington, DC. This role supports revenue growth and market visibility by embedding in select practice areas and driving brand and business development initiatives.

- Work with Managing Group Leaders, Practice Development Managers, and Group Principals to develop and execute a revenue growth and market visibility plan.
- Embed in selected practice areas and drive BD initiatives for a group of consultants (areas include Competition/Antitrust, Intellectual Property, Telecom, Healthcare, and Consumer Protection).
- Collaborate with the VP of Marketing & Business Development on strategic projects to advance client development initiatives.
- Develop and implement annual strategic plans using market, competitor, and client insights.
- Monitor markets, industry areas, and competitors to inform practice group differentiation and client offerings.
- Identify opportunities to expand relationships and revenue with top clients and prospects.
- Coordinate client outreach and ensure a unified market approach; support pitches with research, collateral, RFP project management, and meeting prep.
- Provide marketing updates and strategic guidance in practice meetings; coach on BD activities and train consultants on BD best practices.
- Build and maintain BD assets (pitch materials, practice descriptions, standard collateral, bios, experience lists, etc.).
- Track BD activity in CRM and report on progress; identify opportunities to raise the profile of practice groups and individuals (speaking, sponsor ships, events, media relations, etc.).
- Write submissions for practice and individual rankings and awards; collaborate with Marketing to promote thought leadership and client successes.
- Develop client-focused integration plans for newly hired Principals and select expert consultants; facilitate introductions with Brattle clients and prospects.
- Refine marketing collateral to reflect new expertise and support multi-channel announcements for new laterals.
- Align BD resources and budget with BD strategy; make ROI recommendations for marketing and BD initiatives.
- 8+ years of work experience in business development, ideally in a professional services environment.
- Excellent computer literacy:
Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint; experience with CRM systems. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with time-sensitive deadlines.
- Outstanding client service mindset; responsive, proactive, and focused on high-quality work.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to execute tactically; intellectual curiosity about our verticals and client needs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; strong planning, project management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team; high level of diplomacy and discretion with confidential information.
- Willingness to travel (40% in-office expectation).
Brattle offers a competitive benefits package, base salary, and bonus program. The anticipated base gross salary range for this position in Washington, DC is $140,000 - $160,000 annually. Actual salary will depend on experience and training. This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
