EYFS Teaching Assistant

Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for a nurturing and enthusiastic EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Washington.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children in the Early Years Foundation Stage and helping to create a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment.

• Support the class teacher in delivering the EYFS curriculum

• Assist with phonics, early literacy, and numeracy development

• Support learning through play-based activities

• Provide small group or 1:1 support where required

• Help with observations and tracking pupil progress

• Promote positive behaviour and emotional development

• Ensure safeguarding and welfare standards are maintained

• Experience working within an EYFS setting

• A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach

• Good understanding of child development in Early Years

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• A genuine passion for supporting young children

• Relevant childcare or TA qualification (Level 2 or 3 preferred)

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

• Right to work in the UK
