Established AEC Firm seeks Senior Cost Engineer to support projects for the Federal/Military Construction work in the US and worldwide. Ideal candidates must be driven, innovative, and engaging to work with our engineering team to estimate and execute great projects and forge new relationships to secure new opportunities. What You Will be Doing:

  • Thorough understanding of construction means and methods and ability to develop construction cost estimates for horizontal and vertical construction successfully.
  • Coordinate and work independently with clients and stakeholders to identify and capture project requirements.
  • Prepare Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCE), budget/conceptual cost estimates and/or detail cost estimates at all phases of design.
  • Perform facility programming cost support for long-range planning.
  • Prepare rough-order-magnitude estimates from limited information.
  • Read and interpret construction blueprints and other design documents.
  • Perform accurately detailed quantity take-offs, apply unit rates for labor, material, subcontracts, and other direct costs, apply labor resources and develop activities within the estimate.
  • Attend and participate in onsite project review for construction.


    • Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of commercial/federal construction cost estimating experience.
  • Expertise in engineering, construction management, cost estimating, or related fields.
  • Knowledge of PACES and MCACES cost-estimating systems.
  • US Citizenship is required.
