We're looking for a skilled Safety Inspector to oversee and manage safety programs and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Advise and assist project and construction management on safety plans.
- Provide safety inspections, document reviews and detailed reporting on safety compliance for construction sites.
- Ensure project safety plans align with company policy and regulations.
- Adhere to USEPA and NIOSH safety and environmental requirements.
- Provide safety training to employees and subcontractors.
- Conduct safety inspections and maintain records.
- Conduct mishap investigations and prepare reports.
- Maintain safety reference materials.
- Attend pre-construction and other project meetings.
- Implement and enforce Activity Hazard Analysis (AHAs).
- Implement Human Performance and Employee Based Safety Observation programs.
- Maintain safety and health deficiency tracking system.
- Maintain a list of hazardous chemicals.
- Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety requirements.
- Audit job accident records and prepare reports.
- Represent management during safety inspections.
- Review and distribute safety inspection reports.
- Oversee new hire safety orientation and other training.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide technical assistance to safety planning.

5 yrs - Min
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Health or a related field. Waived for 15 years in the Construction Safety field
Certification:
Corp of Engineers QCM Certification, OSHA 30 - Thorough knowledge of federal and state health and safety regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- ASP or CSP certification preferred.
