In 2020, G Mining Ventures (GMIN) was created to acquire direct ownership of projects and capitalize on the value uplift that successful mine development offers. In July 2024, GMIN has acquired the Oko West project. The Oko West Project is a new gold discovery in northwest Guyana. It is located south of the historical “Oko” gold district, some 95 km west of Georgetown.

To ensure the achievement of this large‑scale project, G Mining Ventures is looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of:

Painter

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling cracks, and removing old paint or rust.
  • Apply paints, primers, sealants, and protective coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
  • Mix and match paints to achieve required colors and finishes.
  • Read and interpret drawings and work instructions.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Operate and maintain painting tools and equipment safely.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain clean work areas and protect surrounding surfaces.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and other trades.
Qualification/Skills and Experience
  • High School or equivalent experience in painting or construction‑related work.
  • At least 2‑5 years’ experience in Paint or Construction.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in construction, industrial, or mining environments.
  • Strong knowledge of surface preparation and painting techniques.
  • Ability to work at heights and in physically demanding environments.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and handling of painting materials.
  • Attention to detail and quality workmanship.
Working Conditions
  • Work Schedule – 14 days on/7 days off
  • Transport, accommodations, and meals provided on site.
