Reporting to a Director of Construction, the Superintendent will lead the daily on‑site activities on construction jobsites. The mandate is to provide oversight, optimise schedules, promote safety and resolve issues.

Hours:

Monday‑Friday 6 AM‑3 PM, with potential weekend or night work.

Location:

Headquarters in Annapolis, MD – focus on project sites within 60 miles.

• Direct and manage subcontractors to ensure adherence to project documents, schedule and quality standards.
• Monitor subcontractor coordination and resolve issues.
• Coordinate onsite activities with the internal team and owners to minimise interruptions to nearby businesses.
• Set and enforce project logistics plans for a clean and efficient jobsite.
• Assist in preparing project reports and documentation.
• Advise on potential RFI’s and propose solutions for formal submission.

• Develop and maintain comprehensive schedules from pre‑construction through completion.
• Create short‑term look‑ahead schedules to anticipate and tackle upcoming challenges.
• Collaborate with subcontractors to set expectations and identify roadblocks.
• Communicate schedules with TPC managers/directors to ensure proper dissemination to subcontractors.

• Create and enforce safety plans in compliance with state, federal and OSHA standards.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and onsite inspections.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

• Attend site walks with subcontractors for potential projects.
• Identify project issues and communicate with project manager to aid budgeting.
• Assist in capital‑project planning for Thomas Park owned assets.

• 5+ years experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar role.
• Ability to manage multiple jobsites and coordinate various trades simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods and means.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam Revu, Procore or other web‑based project management solutions.
• Strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.
• Willingness to travel between jobsites as needed.
