Construction Foreman
Project Management:
- Interpret and execute project blueprints and plans.
- Monitor project timelines and ensure deadlines are met.
- Coordinate tasks and schedules among different teams.
Team Supervision:
- Oversee and manage construction workers, subcontractors, and tradespeople.
- Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to workers.
- Resolve conflicts and address concerns on-site.
Safety and Compliance:
- Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Conduct routine safety checks and ensure the use of protective equipment.
- Report and document any accidents or incidents.
Quality Assurance:
- Inspect completed work for adherence to project specifications.
- Ensure the proper use of materials and tools.
- Identify and address potential problems to maintain project integrity.
Communication:
- Act as a liaison between workers, project managers, and stakeholders.
- Report progress, issues, and updates to the project manager.
- Coordinate with suppliers for the timely delivery of materials.
Documentation:
- Maintain detailed records of labor, materials, and project progress.
- Ensure permits and licenses are up-to-date and accessible.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Construction Foreman or in a similar supervisory role.
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and safety guidelines.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
- Ability to read blueprints, plans, and technical documents.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in varying weather conditions.
- Familiarity with project management software is a plus.
Skills:
- Problem-solving and critical thinking.
- Time management and multitasking.
- Attention to detail and quality control.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and legal requirements.
Education and Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Degree or certification in construction management or a related field (preferred).
- OSHA certification or equivalent safety training.
- Valid driver's license.
Salary Description $35-$45
