Commercial Construction Senior Superintendent – Gov Cloud

Responsibilities
  • Understand and administer the HITT safety program, including all subcontractors, ensuring all accidents/incidents are promptly reported and investigated, and assisting in safety inspections by outside agencies.
  • Maintain HITT quality standards for all aspects of the project.
  • Serve as the leader for all on‑site safety, managing a safe jobsite for all involved.
  • Maintain a daily log of all activities and site conditions, and manage the punch list and closeout process through owner/architect acceptance.
  • Work with the project manager to formulate the project schedule, ensuring proper methods and sequences of installation, making and following through with schedule commitments, and maintaining HITT quality standards.
  • Maintain good working relationships with all subcontractors, develop community relationships that enhance business opportunities, and ensure subcontractors are treated fairly.
  • Ensure complete, accurate daily documentation of work orders/tickets, understand subcontractor scope of work to avoid unnecessary change orders, identify problems early, and act immediately to provide solutions.
  • Develop and organize the site team, arrange for temporary facilities/utilities for the site, and identify long‑lead items that need to be expedited.
  • Collaborate with the project manager and site operations team throughout the life of the project.
Qualifications
  • A four‑year degree from an accredited university (concentration in construction, engineering, or business) strongly preferred; additional work experience acceptable in lieu of a degree.
  • 8–10 years of experience in commercial construction, including general contractor experience, tenant renovations, service work, work in occupied spaces, weekend work, and fast‑paced projects.
  • Mastery of building processes and best practices.
  • Ability to organize necessary resources, including people, tools, and time, to meet tight deadlines and achieve desired results.
  • Project lead or superintendent experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in sector/project‑specific software systems such as Microsoft Office (Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), Pro Core, Adobe, Blue Beam.
  • OSHA
    30 certification preferred.
  • Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50lbs.
  • Strong communication skills: clear, concise, and professional, with audience‑appropriate business writing and verbal skills.
  • Positive attitude and passion for construction and the industry.
  • Ability to gather data, interpret it into meaningful information, and relay it through clear, concise communication, seeing how pieces fit into the bigger picture/business model.
  • Ability to organize and manage tasks and priorities.
  • Demonstrates integrity consistently with The HITT Way and HITT’s core values.
  • Seeks continuous improvement of knowledge and abilities, with internal focus on self‑improvement.
  • Adapts and exercises flexibility with evolving technology, design, means, and methods.
