Position: Project Manager / Owners Representative (PM or SPM)

We are continuing to grow our Project Management / Owners Representation team and are seeking an experienced Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to support a diverse portfolio of commercial development, renovation, and construction projects. This position is ideal for a collaborative and proactive professional who thrives in a client‑facing environment and enjoys managing projects through all phases of planning, design, and construction.

The position may be filled at either the Project Manager (PM) or Senior Project Manager (SPM) level depending on the selected candidate’s experience, leadership background, and ability to manage project complexity independently. Successful candidates will serve as a trusted advisor and advocate for our clients while leading project teams, managing critical project objectives, and driving successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Represent project owners throughout planning, design, construction, and closeout phases.
  • Interact and negotiate with design professionals, contractors, vendors, and public officials on behalf of the Owner.
  • Prepare and maintain project status reports, budgets, schedules, purchase orders, change orders, invoices, and financial tracking reports.
  • Develop and manage project scope, schedules, and budgets for assigned projects.
  • Lead, coordinate, and document project meetings.
  • Coordinate and track project-specific documentation and due diligence materials.
  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to meeting client and project goals efficiently and cost‑effectively.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and help drive timely resolution of issues.

Experience Requirements by Level:

  • 5–10 years of experience managing commercial construction, development, architecture, engineering, or owners representation projects.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, consultant coordination, and construction administration activities.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects and maintain strong client and consultant relationships.
  • Experience coordinating with contractors, architects, engineers, and public agencies throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor junior staff while overseeing project execution, financial performance, and overall client satisfaction..

Essential

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong understanding of project management principles related to planning, design, construction, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and project closeout.
  • Ability to prepare, review, and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, financial reports, and project status updates.
  • Experience representing owners and coordinating with design professionals, contractors, vendors, and public officials.
  • Understanding of technical requirements and specifications for new construction & renovation projects.
  • Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings, furniture plans, and space planning concepts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with executive‑level clients and project stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify project risks, solve problems, and drive timely resolution of issues.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, real estate development, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of Project Team, P6, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Timberline, Auto Cad, or RS Means is preferred.
