Mechanical Project Manager – Commercial Construction

Location: Washington, DC (Local Candidates Preferred) | Travel Opportunities Available

Are you an experienced Mechanical Project Manager looking to lead high-profile commercial construction projects? Our client, a well-established mechanical contractor, is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to oversee HVAC, plumbing, and piping projects throughout the Washington, DC market. They are also open to experienced professionals interested in traveling to projects across the region or nationwide.

Responsibilities
  • Manage commercial mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Coordinate with owners, general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and field teams.
  • Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
  • Lead project meetings and provide regular progress updates.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Support estimating and preconstruction efforts as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience managing commercial mechanical construction projects.
  • Strong background in HVAC, plumbing, piping, or MEP construction.
  • Experience with ground-up commercial projects preferred.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management software.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Local Washington, DC candidates encouraged to apply, though travel-based Project Managers are also welcome.
