Key Responsibilities:
Plan, implement, and supervise project safety in compliance with corporate safety programs and contract requirements. Conduct daily safety inspections and document findings for all active work areas. Collaborate with field staff and management to develop safe work plans for each project phase. Serve as the safety liaison with clients, subcontractors, and external entities, addressing safety-related issues and concerns. Prepare and submit all safety-related reports, and conduct post-accident investigations to ensure continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED with five years of experience in safety management. Solid understanding of corporate safety programs, OSHA regulations, or Corps of Engineers EM385-1-1 standards. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) with strong organizational and communication skills. Current Department of Defense secret security clearance is required, along with OSHA 30-hour, EM385, and relevant safety certifications (e.g., CHST, First Aid/CPR).
Ability to endure challenging working conditions, including heights and confined spaces, while ensuring personal and team safety.
