Position Overview:

As a Construction Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of construction projects from start to finish. Your leadership will be essential in ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This role requires a proactive problem-solver with a strong background in managing teams, subcontractors, and various project stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise all field operations on construction sites, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to specifications.
  • Oversee and coordinate the work of subcontractors, trades, and on-site personnel.
  • Maintain project schedules, including managing timelines and ensuring key milestones are met.
  • Ensure that all construction activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and addressing any variances.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor the quality of work, identify potential issues, and ensure adherence to design specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to provide updates and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Review and approve daily reports, timesheets, and other documentation related to the project.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or in a similar leadership role in the construction industry.
  • Proven experience in managing commercial or institutional construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, schedules, and budgets.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and coordinate teams.
  • In-depth understanding of safety standards, building codes, and regulations.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Proficiency with construction management software and project management tools.
  • 30-hour OSHA certification.
