We are seeking an experienced General Engineer to support the Senior Construction Manager on the Project in Washington, DC through June 2028.

The General Engineer will support the development of project documents and administration of ongoing construction activities. The position will be responsible for reviewing engineering drawings and specifications, preparing project documentation, monitoring contractor activities, supporting contract administration, and coordinating with project stakeholders to ensure construction activities are completed accurately, safely, and in accordance with contract requirements.

This is a fully on-site position, and an engineering degree is required per the client’s request.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Senior Construction Manager with project documentation and construction administration.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and other contract documents.
• Prepare scopes of work, RFPs, Independent Government Estimates (IGEs), and change-order packages.
• Review and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and contractor submittals.
• Review contractor payment applications and maintain accurate project records.
• Monitor field progress, schedules, costs, and contract compliance; identify potential risks.
• Coordinate with project managers, COTRs, contractors, designers, consultants, and other stakeholders to resolve construction issues and support project closeout .

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering — REQUIRED.
• 1–5 years of relevant engineering, construction, or project management experience.
• Experience reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Knowledge of construction administration and contract requirements.
• Experience reviewing contractor documentation, submittals, and payment applications.
• Ability to identify and track schedule, cost, and construction risks.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work fully on-site in Washington, DC.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to work in an active construction environment.
• Ability to visit and monitor construction activities in the field.
• Ability to walk construction areas and observe ongoing work.
• Ability to work on-site for the duration of the assignment
