We are partnering with a growing commercial construction company specializing in drywall, metal stud framing, and interior finishing projects. The business works closely with general contractors to deliver high-quality estimating, project support, and operational coordination across multiple construction projects.
This is a highly visible role working directly with the business owner, combining technical estimating responsibilities with operational and administrative support. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with construction plans and specifications, and capable of keeping multiple priorities moving efficiently.
About the RoleAs the Estimator & Operations Coordinator
, you will support both pre-construction and day-to-day business operations. You will prepare accurate estimates, perform material takeoffs, coordinate bid submissions, and help maintain organized project records and administrative workflows.
This part-time role is ideal for someone who can move comfortably between technical construction documents, client communication, and operational tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Responsibilities- Review project plans, specifications, dimensions, and scope requirements to prepare accurate construction estimates.
- Perform detailed material takeoffs and compile project material lists.
- Utilize estimating software to organize labor, materials, quantities, and final project pricing.
- Draft, review, and submit formal bids and proposals to general contractors and clients.
- Communicate with clients and general contractors regarding bid questions, updates, and follow-ups.
- Track submitted bids, proposal statuses, and project opportunities.
- Maintain organized project files, documentation, and administrative records.
- Support invoicing processes and assist with accounts receivable follow-up.
- Coordinate directly with the business owner to manage priorities and ensure smooth operational workflows.
- Assist with additional administrative and project coordination tasks as needed.
- Previous experience preparing construction estimates for drywall, metal stud framing, interior finishing, or related scopes of work.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, blueprints, and project specifications.
- Proficiency with construction estimating software and general office productivity tools.
- Strong organizational skills with experience in office administration, project coordination, or operations support.
- Excellent written and verbal English and Spanish communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
- Previous experience working directly with general contractors in the commercial construction industry.
- Familiarity with invoicing, accounts receivable tracking, and project documentation processes.
- Experience supporting small business owners or executive leadership teams.
- Knowledge of commercial drywall, metal framing, and finishing workflows.
