The George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates (GW MFA) are seeking a full‑time, Board Certified Cornea Ophthalmologist to join a respected academic ophthalmology program in the heart of Washington, DC. This position offers a rare blend of high‑quality clinical practice, advanced corneal surgery, and hands‑on resident and fellow education. Candidates will have the opportunity to manage complex corneal disease, perform cutting‑edge procedures, and contribute to training the next generation of ophthalmologists within a collaborative, well‑supported environment.

    Educate and mentor residents and students
Responsibilities
  • Provide cornea procedures like DMEK, DSAEK, PK, refractive surgery (LASIK/PRK), collagen cross‑linking, and cataract surgeries to a diverse patient population
  • Collaborate with physicians, APPs, and support staff with administrative assistance and a technician
  • Document care using Epic
Compensation & Benefits
  • Salary:
    Competitive compensation in the $300K–$400K range

Qualifications
  • Board Certified in Ophthalmology
  • Fellowship trained in Cornea
  • Required 5+ years of experience (following completion of training)
  • Experience in academic settings preferred
  • Eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia
  • This position is eligible for H1‑B Visa sponsorship
