Navajo Preference Employment Act

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The incumbent serves as the podiatrist overseeing a full range of podiatric services including operative and non‑operative treatment of patients and management of podiatric clinics. The incumbent advises patients about treatments and foot care techniques necessary for prevention of future problems, coordinates care with multiple outside facilities, and brings in necessary revenue. The podiatrist may assist orthopedics and general surgery on nights and weekends for surgical assistance.

Qualifications

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Must have a Medical Degree (DPM)

License:

Must possess and maintain a valid, current, full and unrestricted license to practice as a physician in any U.S. state, the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

Experience:

  • Completion of a formal approved residency training in foot and ankle surgical reconstruction
  • Evidence that training and professional experience provided knowledge, skill, abilities, competence, and judgment to render the physician an expert in the field of foot and ankle surgery

Credentialing:

Must be credentialed to serve on the Medical Staff (provide all relative information as requested and needed for credentialing purposes).

  • Successful completion of fingerprint clearance requirements, physical examinations, and other screenings indicating that the applicant is qualified to be employed by TCRHCC and demonstrating to the satisfaction of TCRHCC that the applicant can perform the essential functions of the job
  • Submission of all required employment‑related documents, applications, resumes, references, and other required information free of false, misleading, or incomplete information, as determined by TCRHCC.
