Volleyball- Varsity​/JV Assistant Coach

Sidwell Friends School seeks applicants with a passion for coaching as an Assistant Varsity and/or JV Girls Volleyball Coach for Fall 2025. The fall season begins in mid to late August and concludes in November.

Coaching responsibilities involve promoting and creating a positive team culture, developing fundamentals and skills of the game, organizing and enthusiastically running practices, and implementing effective game strategies. Coaches are expected to maintain a high standard of integrity in all aspects of team management, foster a culture that promotes the Quaker values of the School and the academic experience of the student, and integrate school core values as the framework from which to coach and build athletic programs.

A thoughtful approach and a desire to constantly improve and innovate are essential to success in this role.

• Develop fundamentals and skills of volleyball.
• Organize and actively run practices.
• Implement effective game strategies.
• Uphold the school values and integrity in all aspects of team management.

• Passion for coaching and developing young players.
• Minimum of 1 year of successful coaching experience at the collegiate or high school level, and/or in a strong club volleyball setting. High level playing or team managerial experience may be considered in lieu of full coaching experience.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
• Coaching is in person on Sidwell Friends School campuses.

• Stipend $2,500.00–$3,852.00. Stipend will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
